We planned our beautiful wedding without exceeding the amount of extra money we had stashed away in the bank at the time… $2,000 - which was less than one-tenth of the average cost of weddings in our area ($24,000 at that time). The strategies that made this possible would have still worked even if we only had, say, $500 in the bank to spend on a wedding.
In these tough times, our strategies should be applied by every couple to make sure that no one spends more than they can truly afford.
